The Anonymous Awards for the Best Games

This is -Maxis' and EricZLinks' Awards for best games. If you don't agree then send me an e-mail and give me a better rating. Well put it up against my score and well let the general public decide.

Systems ratings:

"-": Maxis, "<": EriczLink, " " Both

First off: Best Overall Game (Series).

Zelda (All)

-The whole series is a masterpiece of game design and Directed by the best game director in the world.

Second: Best Plot

Final Fantasy (All)

-Most games don't come with a plot. For the few that do, this game has the best.

Third: Best Musical Score

Final Fantasy I-VIII

-Final Fantasy 1-8 have been written by the master composer, Nabuo Uematsu.

Definitely worthy of a five star rating.

Fourth: Best Graphics

Section 1: Overall

Section 2: N64

Section 3: Playstation

Overall

Final Fantasy VIII

-Amazing how a 32 bit systems graphics can beat a 64 bit system (Mainly because of the CD format that allows more space for graphics). The movies alone are better than half of the 64 games. I'm not saying I hate Nintendo 64 but I really think that Nintendo 64 should have went with cd's instead of cartridges.

N64

<? (Undecided) I agree with -Maxis on this one

-There are many great games coming out for the N64. For now, it's Turok, Banjo Kazooie, or Zelda.

Playstation

Final Fantasy VIII

-The combination of live action movies and great background designs, this is the best for now.

Fifth: Best Game Design

Zelda 64

-This game has a truly well made and planned out game design that doesn't get boring and that is very fun to play. EAD really outdid themselves in making the game design the best in Zelda 64.

Section 4: N64

Nintendo

The Legend of Zelda (Original)/Mario Bros. 3

SNES

Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past/Super Mario World

Game Boy

The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening/Pokemon

N64

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time/Super Mario 64

Eighth: Best Non-RPG game

-We put this one in because most of the best games seem to be either Action/RPG's or Fantasy/RPG's. Here is our opinion of the best non-RPG.

Metroid (II and III)

Ninth: Stupidest (or worst) game.

Barbies Playland

-After checking the vaults of all the systems games, we found this lovely little prize winning masterpiece. Too bad it was the wrong type of masterpiece.

<EricZLink's Comments: I agree completely with Nintendo Power's worst 10 games of all time list on its 100th issue. Check it out sometime.

Tenth: Best System.

All

-All systems have their ups and downs. The only way to claim the best system is to say there all the best. And yes, we included Sega in our poll.

Eleventh: Best Game Developer

Nintendo/EAD.

-Games that come from this company always are hits. They always change the market, (and have many copies made of them).

<EricZLink's Comments: This game doesn't make many games.. but.. the games they make are huge phenomenons and change the way gaming is forever. No wonder the 14 top selling games ever are made by them.

Second place:

Squaresoft

Third place:

Rare
